I love scale people

I got a little side tracked by some scale models today at the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum and the Santa Barbara Mission.

How can you not enjoy seeing tiny divers (hanging from wire strings) searching remains of a shipwreck and tiny nuns feeding tiny birds? I love scale people. I once got "in trouble" for using fake grass on a model in architecture school, so I refrained from ever again venturing into the world of scale people and certainly never used store-bought scale vegetation again, but all of a sudden I regret that, 11 years later.  Maybe I should have gone into the world of making diorama's instead...
