Recently I made a cake for a friend using a picture as my recipe. It turned out pretty well, I have to say (patting myself on the back). But it was an image of a finished cake, so I knew what it was supposed to look like.  

This new photographic project, Ricettario, by stylist Elena Mora with Karsten Wegener, takes cooking by images to a whole new level!

Each ingredient separated out beautifully and so precariously balanced! Its actually quite crazy; enough that it's hard to believe these photographs are of real objects, staged . It did take up to 12 hours per shoot and apparently there was a lot of mess... all worth it.
