Evolution of a workspace

Since having gone freelance in 2006, my workspace has relocated every few years as I move into new apartments, or into shared or solo studio spaces. My materials library (a euphemism for the things I hoard) and work archives have all expanded and contracted to fit the space.

These days my workspace is a desk in the bedroom of our rather small apartment (which makes up for its size with its charm and surrounding trees!). It's cramped for sure, but overall, it works! I was asked recently for photographs of the interior of the apartment, which prompted a good summer cleaning, but also made me look at this latest (year old) workspace with so much familiarity. Despite where I set up shop, my desk always pretty much looks the same. I like it.
